Well the upside I guess to staying inside is that pinball is back on my agenda. After Dino and Mike delivered a few LED DMD's to me, I sent my donations for ROMS and started installing. So far have STTNG, DE JP, MM, MB, TOTAN installed. Absolutely amazing. Still a few more to go and then decide where to put my original Colordmd. Installation is a breeze. The only problem now is how many perfect original DMD's I have sitting in a box lol. o_O

I'm sure someone has asked these questions... but how do these compare to colour dmd's? and are Theatre of Magic and Slugfest available? Thanks.

Has anyone compiled a list of the games that are completed and the percentage of completion for games in progress? I have it in my Getaway and I would say it is 80% complete. Thanks.

Mike, do you know where I can find this? I only see an old unfinished version.

Thanks.

Sorry guys, a bit slow on catching up on stuff the last few weeks. Too many things on the go.

I'm doing my best to build a list of games available. Check here:

https://sites.google.com/view/pin2dmd/colour-files

This is the most active place for work in progress:

http://vpuniverse.com/forums/forum/138-pin2dmd-dmd-colorization-works-in-progress/

Of course you can also check here for what is downloadable:

http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/category/102-pin2dmd-colorizations-real-pinball/

I will put this stuff in the first post so it's easy to find.

Thanks!

It will all depend on how well the colour files are done. You have to remember that guys are doing this for fun and a bit of profit and it takes a lot of time. The displays themselves are using very similar panels compared to what ColorDMD uses in their LED panels.

If cost isn't an issue then $550-$600 for a ColourDMD is the way to go. But at half the cost, if the files are available for the game you want, then this makes more sense. I haven't heard too many complaints so far and I've sold a bunch of these.

Is a Colour available for Maverick? It is a larger SEGA DMD

@Menace is building bigger panels. I think he is waiting on some supplies but you may want to reach out to him. They may only be 4 colour right now as no one has done the colour files. Once Menace has some panels I'm sure one of us can find a Maverick or a Baywatch and plug it in and see how it looks.

For those interested in the smaller Data East displays, I can order the parts for them. We have put them in a few games and they work fine. They use the same LED panels as the regular displays but only the centre portion that is visible is used. The boards have the same form factor as the originals and use the existing connectors so they are basically plug and play. The only thing you need to do is remove the ROM chip from the existing display and install it on the new one.

Pricing is the same for these, $250 per display. Send me a message if you are interested.

Thanks!

Just installed one into my Metallica with some great instruction from Dino. Very simple with his expertise.

The downside of getting these is that you will want more eventually. Great price, great seller.

Tell me about it, there are pin2dmd color files for almost all 13 of my pins! Dino let me know when I can come do a curb side pick up for some more displays :)

What percentage of the Metallica conversion is complete? Thanks.
