So, I picked this up last night.
The cabinet is in great shape! I took some magic eraser and Westley's Bleche White to it and the colours just got way more vibrant. The ME was a dark brown by the time I was done. It was covered in a nice layer of grime from years of being on location. The whites were almost yellow.

After a good cleanup I couldn't believe how clean the cab actually was. Just a few minor nicks and the edges of the head had some flaking paint.
I couldn't resist doing it right away so I touched up the perimeter of the head and a few edges and this is how it looks now.

Luckily I already had a CPR playfield (factory second) that I was in the process of touching up and clearcoating.
Should be a very nice SS once done.

Thanks! The chrome and clear on the pf is unbelievable.
There's a whole series of YouTube Pinball MikeD videos showing the restoration process of this game. Looking forward to enjoying it for many years.

Here's a crappy pic of my new Class of 1812. All the way from Los Angeles, happy to bring one back into Canada! Sorry you have to lay on your side to view it.

I know it's not a new Stern but I brought home this gem a few weeks ago. Spent a lot of time cleaning it, putting titan competition rubbers on it and a playfield protector. Turned out decent and I absolutely LOVE this title :)

Congrats Ryan and looks like you have a very nice looking example, the yellow titan rubbers really make the game pop! I enjoyed playing Pharaoh the most of the multi-level pin from that early 80's Williams era which include Black Knight, Jungle Lord and Solar Fire.

Who doesn't love 'little people'?
Finally found a nice Genesis. Actually, this was the very machine that hooked me.
Always loved the Metropolis theme, but playing this at another member's home really sealed the deal.
Simple, fun and kick-ass music and sounds.
What more do you need?

Just need a good shop, two missing plastics (already found) and the correct white drop targets. Pretty sweet condition otherwise.

Nice pickup. I'm not sure if I'm partial to the pepto bismol originals or these clear ramps...

I think I prefer the clear compared to the original ramps. These clear ones are made by Freeplay40 on pinside and here is the thread in case anyone wants to contact him for ramps for their Genesis.

I think he might have done a small run or one off for someone and made them in red too

I don't like that much purple in the game. I'm okay with a much more blue and white colour scheme with just a few hints of purple... so I'm good with the clear ramps.
Once the coloured LED lighting is turned on the whole playfield comes to life and the clear ramps look great.

That being said, if I decide to go with an alternate translite on this one, I'll have to factor in the current speaker panel design as well... or make a new one too ;)
