Wiring in the head

Just wanted so thoughts on my BSD. I am working on cleaning this machine up and went to replace the batteries in the head but see some funky wires.

1 of the looks like the casing is stripped off. Should I just tape it up and forget about it or figure out where it goes and replace it.

Other wires are just taped up and I have some that are just not connected. Everything on the game works but I don't feel good about random wires in the head.

I'm all for making it right just have to learn how to. Is it worth my time/cost to do this or is there someone locally I should give a call to?

If I'm doing this myself I'm going to need some guidance. Where would I find a tool to make these ends? I think some of the head to a Molex connector as well so I need to re crimp that side.

I have the original scimatics book so I have that covered.

Get all the stuff you need from Ed @ Great Plains Electronics. Pickup a bag of trifuricon pins, some housings and then the crimp tool for the pins. If you're not sure of what to order, you can post here or just drop Ed an email and let him know what you're trying to do and he will set you straight. (he's a great person to deal with)

The good news I have everything traced out. The wires that were just open were not connected on the other side, they were already replaced.

I checked out the site and looks cool. The molex connector by the transformer I have figured out. What I'm not sure on is the board side of the connectors and what size wire to use. the connector on the board looks like a 0.1" or a 0.156" and im still not sure what tool to use to crimp this stuff. you also said trifuricon pins, Im not really sure what that means.
