Bubble in play field

Hi folks,

I am a newbie and just picked up my first machine, a Recel Icarus from around 1977 I believe. Having an issue with the ball getting stuck at the top of the play field. See attached photo. Seems like there is a thin clear plastic film that is de-laminating and now has a very slight raised section which captures the ball. Is there a way to flatten this out to prevent this from happening.

Thanks,
David

I have had some luck with very light use of a heat gun and a small wood block and some pressure after trimming the area with an x acto knife.

I would use both methods mentioned. Prick the bubble in case there is air trapped and then use heat (I'd try a hair dryer first) to soften it and then push down with a plastic edged tool of some sort... or a credit card. This may have the added benefit of reacivating the old glue that may be there. keeping some pressure on it can't hurt either.
