I finally was able to do this this past weekend . I. Have been wanting to since I saw this post however I went to several hardware stores and none had the swivel plates. I found a wholesaler .for Richelieu in barrie but I couldn't buy direct. I then went to a wood trim outlet and ordered and after 3 weeks I got a call they were in only to find they ordered the wrong pieces. Exasperated I returned to princess Auto for a second time and they had finally gotten some boat swivel plates in 10.98. I ended up going with predrilled 1 inch tubing as I might add a tool holder to the side. I had already an archaic. Ridged mitre saw stand which actually is a lot heavier duty than most as well as a large table for tools and parts to lay on. Also placing two of my magnetized parts Bowls onto the .base magnetized the tabletop so it might save an errant screw from hitting the flooring. easy to move around should i need to. Cost for me was 108 dollars with weatherstripping. The swivel plates have stood to pressure from screwdriver and punching out inserts. Quite pleased. I will probably buy a couple of shorter clamps for it soon.
