Whats does a good condition Whirlwind go for?

So you bought it from a member on here for $900 6 months ago and now you are selling it on here for $100 more? You even link the previous ad that showed how much you paid for it. And people wonder about pin prices these days. I guess everybody needs to make a buck.

Unfortunately these days they are following the market prices in the US. Pinside prices converted to CAD seems the norm. The days where, even with dollar difference, Canada had its own market price is no longer the case.

Then I guess they will get out of selling pinball. I don't know about other areas but the three big cineplex's around where I live only have redemption games.

But hasn't that changed? There are a ton more hobbyist buying machines than operators. These days I cannot believe they make more money from operators. Maybe for redemption machines, and if that is their core business now, then I can see it. But times have changed and the day of the...

I can guarantee you they would get a ton more traffic on Saturdays if they had the parts dept open. Close one day during the week and open up Saturdays.

Which is why I want to get rid of machines. Not fun anymore when you just can't afford to buy. I'll keep playing and hopefully get back to league play but now funneling my money to my new hobby of photography.

WW 5-6k? Seriously? We are talking Whirlwind here. I know its one of the more expensive System 11's but it can't be anywhere near 5-6k.

So what does a BSD and WW go for these days?

70's EM always worth $300? Really? EM prices have gone up just like SS and DMD's. 5 years ago you could pick up an EM between $300-600, nowadays youre looking $600-1200. Like Menace said a working EM for $300 is a no brainer.

Nice catch Menace and I learned something new. Is there a reason someone would convert to parallel wound coils?
