Yeah, Trident was what I meant. Simple game, but fun as with many of the Classic Sterns. Not a fan of the SB-100 electronic sounds on Trident, and mine was pretty beat, so it got the boot from the lineup.

Excellent list there! Even more jealous! I currently have Meteor, Nineball, Seawitch, Cheetah, and Lightning. I owned-and-sold Trident, F2K, Quicksilver, and Stargazer. I'm curious if this was a "deal you couldn't refuse" type of purchase or were you actively seeing out a Classic Stern...

Very jealous of your haul! Alas, classic stern parts always seem to be in short supply, even common stuff like flipper mechs. BTW, which titles do you have? If there's a Catacomb and you'd consider selling, let me know.

As a member of the side-by-side Seawitch/Fathom club, I couldn't agree more! Seawitch probably has the edge in terms of playability, but Fathom is a better sound/lights package, and multiball as well. Tough choice, and great problem (choosing between the two) to have!

It's a crap-shoot. 9 times out of 10 they'll spend more time asking you things like "people still play pinball?" and "they still make these things?", but on occasion you'll get a hard-case who will not believe that such a fancy-looking piece of HW can cost less than $10K, and contact the seller...

While I don't disagree with involving the Police (AKA "Uttley" is a convicted criminal, and surely on Police radar already), my friend declined to go that route for his own reasons, and he _did_ get his game (though it took three round-trip drives to London!), so he's treating it as a Lesson...

The Flash Gordon is Uttely for sure, as one of his other ads is the Centaur + CPR playfield: My friend paid a deposit on that, and the guy went dark and tried to scam him, but an "in person" visit got him to cough up the game. Ad is still up, but the game is gone to its new home.
