Renovated the kitchen in 2011, earlier this year my hood fan died.
I did my research and purchased the Zephyr Hurricane. Had to special order it.
Of course, this week my contractor shows up (as tile removal was involved, and I don't do tiles - at least, I've been told I'm not to do them again) to remove the old and install the new and doesn't he manage to fix it in 5 minutes. Broken wire between the cupboard and the fan...in other words, my original kitchen guy did a really crappy job.
So rather than tear out a working fan, I'm stuck with a brand new high end hood fan I can't use.
I don't want to discuss what I paid, but it's way over what I'm asking. Asking price is $450, but hey, give me $400 and it's yours.
