Hey Everyone,
Sorry, I haven't been posting much lately. Been busy
I apologise for the loaded thread title but, simply put, I am considering letting go of a fair number of machines.
I'm looking at a possible investment opportunity that may be coming up fast... and I also have way more machines than I can reasonably play.
So, I figure I'll kill two birds with one stone.
I expect to get some details from my lawyer and make a final decision in about a week's time. When that time comes I'd like to have as many 'handshakes' in place as possible.
I dreaded posting a thread like this but hopefully it'll stay clean and we can keep the tire-kicking or negative comments to a nice manageable level
The games are mostly restored to a farily high level, or otherwise rare... or sometimes both. Prices will be reflective of that. Trying to get fair market for these and obviously not looking for trades.
I'll attempt to give a short description of each, but please PM me for more details. I also don't want to clutter up the thread with a million images, so please try my pinballowners link under my signature. Many of the machines listed are shown there. If not, just ask.
I likely won't let them all go. If a particular game sells first, I likely will keep another.
Here's a list of possibilities:
WHITE WATER: $9,000 [SOLD]
This machine was restored to a VERY high level. Cab restored, CPR playfield and palstics, new ramps, LED, ColorDMD, upgraded speakers etc... It was also photographed and featured in Pinball Magazine issue #2 for the Nordman/Freres feature (playfield only).
BANZAI RUN: $7,000
Asking a bit more for this one because of it's 'historical' value. The game is a rare XR7 example. Very rare prototype version of DiamondPlate that Williams was testing at the time. Maybe 10 examples or so out there.
Cab is original but pretty nice. Playfield has the factory XR7 clearcoat, new plastics, LEDs, New displays etc..
The market for this game is much hotter in the US, so may list it on Pinside if no interest here.
Stern NINE BALL: $5,000 [SOLD]
Recently shopped and touched up. Another rare classic Stern. Original playfield was touched up and spot cleared. Cab touched up. New plastics, drop targets, nice original backglass (one small spider crack that isn't very visible), repainted coin door, new legs, glass and so on.
Williams HIGH SPEED: $4500
Super nice restored example. Beautiful original cabinet, CPR playfield, new plastics+topper, LEDs throughout, perfect glass, LED displays in red, new legs and more I probably can't recall.
HEAVY METAL MELTDOWN (proto): $3000
This game is essentially one of a kind. It's the only known surviving example of an intact HMM proto with drop target blocking the main ramp. Likely used as a test game. It's still in unshopped original player's condition and has the proto cab art. I spent the last couple of years working with a programmer to get the drop target working and scoring properly. Some plastics are chipped. I also had Steve Young from PBR make me a few samples of the proto drop targets. Comes with new legs, glass and repro ramp that I was going to install when I got around to restoring it.
Gottlieb MELODY: $2500
This is a rare add-a-ball of Sing Along. Cabinet has been beautifully repainted. Repro backglass, Playfield is very nice but original. I have a bunch of new parts for it (in case of eventual pf restore). I think the legs are new as well. Door might be too.
TWILIGHT ZONE: $10,000 [SOLD]
On of my first restores. Cab was re-done with new decals. Playfield clearcoated. 3rd magnet kit added, lots of toys and upgrades such as the upper playfield mini-switch kit. Has robot, slot machine, gumball upgrades, piano, new clock board and housing, working TV mod, lamp mod, T-bird, street lamp, rocket etc... Also comes with colorDMD and more extras than I can list here. Really debating this one, but we'll see.
I have a couple of others that should be spoken for already.
Will list them here as well if things fall through.
Shoot me a PM if interested and serious. I'll keep track of who wants what until I know for sure what's happening.
Thanks!
