Re: FS: STTNG with colour DMD $4800 OBO

This is a beautiful STTNG.
This example, (plus the one that I own) have a superb level of custom painted detail and extras on them.
Menace's cousin in the film industry painted mine up if I recall correctly.

Everyone that thought I was crazy a year or so ago to buy this game at the price that I did for about $1000
less than this current offering can just go 'huh'?!

This has always been a $5k game IMHO, especially if it has a custom paint job, extras and mods.

Most new games can't even remotely touch this one.
Tough game, hard, challenging, brutal to repair, yet exquisite nonetheless.

I made a rule recently not to buy duplicates "for no-good-reason".
I can't, so I won't, but whomever buys this, should love it as much as, or more than most Stern pro's.
20 years old and it still "shines"! (if you treat it right)

I want a new ST as well, but "me thinks it may not hold up like these old ones in good shape do."
We shall see. Time will tell.

That'll do fer now......

I bought my first one (which was in better condition than my current one) for around US$1700..... No one wanted anything to do with "Next Generation" back then.

One more thing I forgot to mention is Todd's game also has the Drop target tie back mod done to it already. The tie back wire is soldered onto the +50V side of either of the coils and if this wire becomes disconnected it will damage the transistors on the aux driver board.

Note: This picture is not of Todd's actual game but someone else's STTNG.

Actually if Websherpa is willing to share, he did an excellent write-up on MAACA on how to skid, wrap and ship a pinball machine. I can't find the link though..

If you move the outposts back in your game at home is that a cheat as well?

Interesting analogy, but doesn't really fit here.

A better one to compare to the extenders would be drilling holes in the playfield so you can place the post in the middle of the outlane.

And yes, they are both cheats. :D

Sad to say, but this actually happens... same with the ad-lib center posts.
