What is this?

Hello all, I found this board in a Firepower I just picked up. Game works perfect and this board is not connected to anything. If anyone knows what it is and would pass that info on, it would be greatly appreciated. It has "Firepower" (a copywrite symbol) F.M.T. 2/82 written on it. It was mounted in the centre of the boards. Really curious as to what I have here. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Probably a fix and the offending board has been replaced since 82

Wow! the Canucks really come through! Too funny! The guy who posted in Pinside is the guy who I got the game from. He did not have much luck on a resolution there either. I guess I will just leave it for a conversation piece. Thanks for the quick replies.

Looks like a home made board to fix a issue on another board. Are all the other circuit boards in the game original with matching serial numbers or has one been changed?
