Sounds like an interesting project. I have been batting around the idea of working with the P-roc as well (even though its a bit pricey). I also just came across this alternative, for older games... http://openpinballproject.wordpress.com/ I always thought it would be best to stay away from...

I would be curious to find a way to diffuse the light, to make it blend instead of seeing the reflection of the individual dots on the battlefield.

Tilt is great. Its even better watching it a second time with the audio commentary. Many more details buried within. Special When Lit seemed to be all over the map. Didn't enjoy that one so much.

The road kings will be replaced with a habit trail type of ramp? Like the kind on Shadow....

It seems like the majority the new generation (post 2000/Williams) of collectors expects this. I know plenty of old-timers that expect a slight loss of money equating to the fun they had with the game. Sort of like a rental payment. But times have changed.

You could take a trip to Markham and visit Sayal Electronics, Active Electronics or one of the other stores in the area. All near 404/Woodbine.

I always find it a bit paradoxical when current advertising/media use the idea of pinballs, even though most people under the age of 30 have never seen one. Not sure if this means pinball transcends time and age? Or if the people creating these are secretly pinheads? Latest find: Hells...

Surfing the web and came across this older article. Very interesting, especially after seeing the Stern Factory. Just makes you appreciate the work that goes into making a modern pinball. I can't believe that JJP is breaking even on this game...

Never had anything bad happen. The only time I had a fright was when I got a DMD game safely to my basement and my neighbor was helping me get it ready. He cut the plastic wrap that was holding the head in place. Thunk! The head dropped to the floor. No damage and everything worked fine...
