Prices like that make me appreciate kijiji more and more.
I see the days of actually going to the warehouse for the auction and actually getting a 'good' deal are over.
Also what's with the Texas auction link? Bring that smash TV arcade here and I'll bid, albeit not too much over a few hundred...
I just find the backglass so ugly, yet I have to blow up the pic for the closer look.
It's like a car wreck on the side of the highway...
No here's a good case for alternate translights
With 14 hours to soft close:
RbioN: 1950
FG: 2950
Roller: 975
Sinbad: 420
JD: 2250
DH: 1225
That's some good movement on Family Guy and Dirty Harry still seems a bit of a good deal (in my opinion) for now. Rollergames seems to be the dog with no bids since yesterday. I myself...
Re: Next Online Auction - January 30, 2014
One day and 14 hours left
Prices at that time:
RBioN 1775
FG 2150
Roller 975
Sinbad 310
JD 1975
DH 1025
That's some fast action on JD since yesterday. Looks like not too much interest in Sinbad. Maybe someone will try to snipe it...
Re: Next Online Auction - January 30, 2014
Next big sale starts tomorrow.
BTW anyone out there monitoring this auction could you please post some of the results for the pins? (or something close to close time)
It would be good to keep track of what these auctions are bringing in.
This time...
Re: someone doing repairs near Buffalo N.Y.?
It could be a bit cheaper and easier if you just listed what's not quite working right and have a few 'chime ins'.
At least then anything you fix won't eat up time/money later.
If I were going, and also had a vehicle to hold a machine you could have had my High speed for the weekend.
It's getting a whole lot less love at home as Checkpoint is still getting broken in.
If you got someone to pick up/drop off it's available.
But I am off the beaten path.
Hopefully...
I actually saw a project spin out in someones basement a few months back. My tech buddy and I were working on a guys Genie and he took us across the street to take a look at another non-working pin. It was a Spin Out. Opened the coin door and it was full of empty beer bottles from her teenage...
I had the parents give me a fridge cart for x-mas when I knew I was going to be in the hobby for a while.
Fridge cart with straps $50 at princess auto.
Now my nephew doesn't mind so much with helping me lug machines around now that we aren't carrying them.
Recently I've had the in-laws give me...
I would suggest starting with a DMD.
I started with an EM, stepped up to a SS and now have a DMD.
The advancements just shine through in the end. I'm not saying my Checkpoint has more features or a deeper rule set than my High Speed. I just find Checkpoint more fun to play with some of it's...
I touched up my Checkpoint cabinet with some hobby paint I have (from my miniature painting hobby).
I used water based paint and I'm not planning on clearing over it as it doesn't match perfectly. In a pinch it can be cleaned off.
I am more concerned with hiding the scratches from casual view...
As it was labour day weekend the factory was somehow not working Saturday and I had a chance to have Victor my previous arcade tech pal come by to take a peek at Checkpoint.
We started out with the DMD. It all looked fine. I reminded Vic that what I had researched online claimed the R95 resistor...
I guess he could still consign it to the next point and click auction and compete with: Ripleys B or N, Family guy, Judge Dredd, Dirty Harry, Sinbad and Roller Games.... (listed so far)
Looks like in your case it appears you may need the entire ramp. Mine is a bit 'messy' where someone repaired the upkicker damage.
Who knows, you're pretty close to me. Maybe we could find someone to fabricate the whole ramp and just split the cost 50/50 and get 2 ramps.
A few more interested...
