People who go this route of building a machine from ground up are not doing it to flip or from a ROI for their money and time. Instead it is more of a challenge and then a sense of accomplishment afterwards. This guy who built two these two MM even had this to say in the end:

Decided to do a quick and cheap mod to my TOTAN shooter plate since it looks out of place with all the brass trim. To remove the plate you have to first remove the shooter rod and the plate is held with these 3 screws and plate inside the cabinet. I had some Krylon Gold Chrome lying around...
