ColorDMD Announces Support for World Cup Soccer!
ColorDMD's is excited to announce World Cup Soccer as the 68th title to be supported by the ColorDMD multicolor pinball display platform! WCS has received a lot of interest since it's preview last month at both the Chicago Pinball Expo and Houston Arcade Expo.It is now ready for release and will be available this week in time for the US Thanksgiving holiday!
WCS was colorized by Brandon Pennington, whose contributions also include colorizations for Judge Dredd and AC/DC. Dave Timmer assisted Brandon with some of the more challenging firework animations. WCS is a natural choice to follow Brandon's previous work.Like both titles before, WCS features a strong animated central character and great humor. Striker is everywhere in this game, and chasing him through all the different colored animation sequences adds a new element of fun.
Brandon, who resides in Springfield, Missouri and is a founder of the Queen City Pinball League, can be a busy guy... Besides starting a new job as a system administrator, running a pinball route, working as a high school computer science teacher, and a freelancegraphic artist, Brandon and his family also work together on high-end pinball restoration projects. At the Texas Pinball Festival, Brandon took home first place in the 90's division for his work on a beautiful Congo restoration.
The ColorDMD for World Cup Soccer pinball machines shares the same easy-to-install hardware platform as previous ColorDMD releases. All displays ship with the factory installed SIGMA ROM that supports WPC, WPC95,SAM, Whitestar, and SPIKE platforms. Multicolor operation is enabled through download and installation of a game-specific color ROM file, available from our site. ROMs can be changed at any time, allowing use with any of our supported titles.
