CAD is even worse against the Euro.

I'll stick with my crappy holo, my game is setup so hard anyway no one ever gets to see the hologram turn on anyway :D

At these prices I'd rather just plunk the $ down for one of the LCD mods if I owned a Creech.

D

Too bad Pinball Mike D posted this last month on pinside:

To all,

Due to my increased professional and family responsibilities, I will not be able to make any CFTBL MODs in the foreseeable future. I'll post more info regarding this project if/when things change. Here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Regards,

Mike

I have been following this hologram LCD mod way before I even bought my creech. When I finally got a creech the hologram in the game was blue so I immediately got on the waiting list for the LCD mod. Fortunately it only took 3 weeks to get a reply from Mike D saying I will be getting one in his next batch. I bought the Insignia LCD from my local BestBuy which had it on sale for $99.99 to save on shipping. I think the mod itself cost me $375usd + shipping + paypal fees. I remember when it was all said and done it ran me around $650cdn for this mod.

This was probably the most expensive mod I had ever purchased for my games with the next one being the prototype Eli Tron fiber optic ramp kit at $475cdn all in. This was back when our dollar was close to par back in April/May 2013 and I don't even wanna think about what both these mods would run me today! Anyways, I think the LCD mod is great because if your game is set hard like Adam's you will always see this animation through your otherwise empty black window :)

It's also interactive with game play by flashing various images supplied by Mike D whenever you spot a letter in F-I-L-M and there are accompanying animations when you start certain modes too. You can also customize this with your own preferred images or videos.

Since creech is one of my favorites and a long term keeper, I have absolutely no regrets with what I spent on this mod. My only regret would be not buying this game sooner when the market price was around $3000-3500 tops for many years but I still managed to get a nice example at a decent price. Even with the base cost of my creech and LCD mod I can still sleep at night because I heard creech is "trending" between $7000-8500 these days

Wow! at this price I would sell mine any day..ColorDMD included

Easy there and keep in mind I am being sarcastic and joking about this "trending" comment :)

Realistically today a creech with regular dmd and green hologram can fetch up to $5000. I know in the past month one was traded locally valued at around $5500, it was above average based on pics that were forwarded to me for an opinion on condition not price. I always believe one skewed transaction doesn't always or shouldn't dictate the market price. These days I don't know anymore because I'm seeing $3k Tee'd Offs potentially selling.

You have to be joking! $7000-8500? That's ridiculous. Pinside again? I have never seen one over $4500 and thought that was a lot. No more DMD's for me. I'm sticking with EM's and SS. Only things I can afford these days.

Edit: just read your above post. So Ignore

I know. Anyway mine is not for sale. One of the best game I had so far. +I got one of the coolest topper I ever seen.
The sad thing is that this game can easily sell to the US for $6-7000 CAD like many others. We will probably see a few of our machines cross the border..
