Jeff, there is a very neat aftermarket topper being made which uses the node board just like the OG topper. It's on Pinside and looks better than Stern's. They might still be available.

The average they have sold for on Pinside for the past 2 years was $3500 US, so expect to pay upwards of $5000 Cdn.
(I had to pay that for the Ghostbusters topper.)
