Went to the classic car auction and this was there .It was listed in the catalogue as a 1965 AMX Surf Champ . Was a little rough with no lockdown bar and front plywood was peeled off , playfield and back glass for in nice shape have no idea if it was in working condition . Update it sold for $690 plus HST so close to $800

$690 is a lot for something in this condition, IMHO. Maybe this title is more valuable than I realize? That thing's a mess.

yes agree , this title in working order would get around $900 plus in nice working condition . but you know the way auctions are , hype and two people caught up in a bidding war . this actual game in the local pinball market in this condition $300- $400 and most likely used for parts
