this kijiji ad should warrant its own thread i think. ive never met Chuck, although he does sell on ebay quite a bit. i do know someone that saw these machines recently and was told they have been in storage for quite some time. i did call him several months ago regarding that par golf pitch and bat .. but i never did go see it as the glass was failing and the numbers didnt work for me personally with desire/cost. i do wonder if its the same machine..
I emailed him sunday. He called me at 330 pm said I could meet him at the storage facility before 4 pm. I live 20 minutes away so I said I'd be there at 350 pm. I arrived there at 350 pm and nobody was there. Waited 25 min till 415 nobody showed. Called him back it was a land line and no answer. I ended up just going home. Never emailed him back and never heard anything from him.

Did anyone go see the 70 pinball machines in Freelton?
I did. I just missed out on a nice target pool back box by 2 minutes. the backglass was really nice and an upgrade to mine. I also grabbed a 62 world series... the same as what i already have and a bally circus. the gentleman i went with picked up a short stop and when i called him on sunday he already had it up and runing. As i was there there was a trailer being loaded up with several machines going to your neighbourhood in collingwood.

BTW.. im curious when i was at your justpushplay last year you had a "Batting Champ" that didnt go up for sale when you closed. i have since obtained one. What do you peg a value of that of? its a fun game.( I hope it is ok to ask as im not asking for selling /buying purposes)

I still have the Deluxe World Series It was one of the first games I remember playing,
it is staying in my collection. I don't know what it is worth I haven't seen one for sale in a while.
I purchased mine not working and missing parts

I checked this out today - located in the Evel Knievel Museum in Niagara Falls (read pawn shop). Ad says fully reconditioned and I was told over the phone that it was a two owner machine and had never seen an arcade. Once I got there:
- machine was filthy
- cabinet had the usual dings and scratches
- DMD was gassing out – I was told that “if you let it warm up for a couple of hours, it will almost go away”
- soccer ball didn't work
- slingshot plastics were chipped
- slight wear in the outholes
- no wear on the playfield
- told that "these things go for $4500 on ebay all day long"

The game sold while I was there to a guy and his 10 year old daughter for $2300 (I wasn’t going to go any higher than $2200 and even that was a stretch I think). I felt bad because I don’t think he knew what he was getting himself into (didn't know the soccer ball was supposed to spin, etc.) and I wanted to warn him, but his daughter’s eyes lit up when they paid for it so I didn’t want to ruin it for her.

I’ll keep on looking I guess.
