I was joking but this theory makes a lot of sense. Certainly could cause a little spike in sales of this title and inflate the price a bit.

Dave Astill probably bought the pair as I know he has been wanting a SWE1 for his son and even made a post to see if anyone would be interested in splitting it with him. If not he will fix the reset and any other issues and put the Getaway up for sale here or kijiji later on assuming he is the one that got it.
