I've been cleaning up an WH20 recently, and just got to thinking about Novus. Everyone has it, but how did it come to be a pinball treasure?

I've obviously got too much time on my hands, but I did a little digging and made a phone call, and here, for your reading pleasure, are Some Astonishing Facts You (probably) Didn't Know About Novus... :FP:

I'm not using as much Novus as I used to since I started using this product: http://www.mothers.com/02_products/07100.html Mother's California Gold Step 1 (Even though I have a big jug of Novus 2 kicking around here somewhere...)

I haven't done any scientific research to determine detriments, but it is a bit more aggressive than Novus and makes a great pre-wax playfield cleaner, or even a quicky polish. I haven't done any testing on mylar lifting, but in some careful use, I haven't experienced anything detrimental yet.

3M makes some industrial line swirl removers that you can source at body shop suppliers that work pretty much the same way (which are likely the very same thing that Treasure Cove products sells as part of their polishing regime).
