Did your LOTR have a transistor at Q12? I am about to install a shaker kit and noticed I do not have a Q12 transistor. Edit, added a Q12 and everything works fine.

I had MAME up and working for a few days. Now MAME will launch, but when I start a game...it crashed right away :( Any ideas?

I have replaced a LED in mine as well. Just used a LED I had lying around from a key chain light.

I did not know about any PBL quality issues....good to know.

Nothing "wrong" with the PBL kits. I am just saying that most flippers can be rebuilt by replacing a few parts vice a whole kit. Link it to an entire flipper assembly for less $ as well ;)

coil stop, sleeve and clean eos will fix most flippers. Pawl assembly is good most times. For 50 bucks I would think you would get the playfield bushing as well. Or... http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=3747
