No I haven't had the screen upgraded. It's only colour on bootup attract screens like you mentioned. I heard that you can contact Chicago coin and they'll sell you an unlock code for the screen but I haven't verified that.
Yeah I'm 99% sure it's just a classic edition but the manual just says Medieval Madness remake and on the warranty registration they didn't select either CE or SE. I look during boot up and I don't see any mention either way.
