I've spent so much time watching the game play footage that I think I prefer the look of the white wood if you can imagine. I don't mind the backbox and side art but the playfield artwork and plastics just don't grab me. I also think stencilled side art would have looked cool on it too. I hope...
Trying to avoid the $40 shipping for a $50 from PPS. Anyone happen to have one they don't need. Would also be interested in the front artwork or some of the buttons.
Personally I think late 70's/Early 80's Bally's are a tough sell when restored as the sum of their parts can out pace their overall value... unless it is a Fathom or Centaur... maybe throw a Kiss in there too.
I've seen a couple of Silverball Mania's listed on Kijiji in the last year or so with...
I've been gathering parts for a Silverball Mania restore for over a year now and other projects keep cutting in line and taking my time away. Another project has come up that needs some more funds so I'm looking to get out of it what I have into it.
Edit: SOLD

Rather than creating a new "Shipping from Marco" thread I thought I'd revive this one...
I just went through the motions of filling an order out from Marco's to see what the shipping costs would be... and then abandoned the order. I got an email a short amount of time later offering 10% off my...
I'm not sure these are a scam... stolen pics maybe but the write up and cross posting reminds me more of a Mark Utley posting... I'd love the Centaur and PF @ $4K but just typing that makes me need to shake my head and agree with you. Blinded by the chase! Here I am ready to sell my Virtual Pin...
I'm guessing it works more frequently than a blue moon if this news story is true...

I purchased a pin from him without realizing who I had dealt with until I got home and looked him up as he looked vaguely familiar. As long as you or someone you trust can cash and carry you should be good... assuming of course you aren't buying stolen goods. He let me spend all the time I...
Well for $200 I would have bought it :). I really don't think $1,800 is too far out of line with the way things are today. $4K is a stretch for a II in my mind as the ad suggests... but you could do a lot with this one as your starting position if you had a pf and plastics already to go.
That's a pretty fair deal on the Centaur... the part that made me laugh in the add was that the playfield could easily be touched up... yikes, it is missing a lot of paint down the middle! Wish I had the spare cash.
