Not sure if you heard but new machines are also very subject to ghosting. See Stern Ghostbusters playfield swap program for one small example.

From what I understand ghosting on inserts for 90's Bally games (or any manufacturer for that matter) is common.

Hey man. Didn't notice any chipping but will take a closer look. I don't imagine anything occurred post restoration. The guy I bought it from specifically had Treasure Cove source and restore the machine. He had it for I forget how long and I am the 2nd owner post restoration.
