I am still on the hunt for an undamaged Checkpoint ramp.
If you have one or are planning on attending Allentown I am willing to pay $200 Cdn for a good ramp.
At least I can watch the P&C auction to see what a non-working Checkpoint is going for soon enough...
Thanks,
Brad
I was a bust as far as I was concerned. I will not be attending in the future as this show just seems to find a way to suck more every year. I have not seen that many non-working pins since seeing the basement of ToPEC...
I don't go there to play in the tourney. As my wife will want to come along I am sure that she will only last 2-3 hours before wanting to leave. I think we only played 20 machines last year. I circle around looking for Alien Poker first and then settle in for a few games on some of the more...
I can say I am currently in this year.
I have been to larger shows with more vendors and machines but this show is the closest.
Thought I best start a thread so those who are not or cannot go can post what they may be looking for.
I am not opposed to collecting a few prices and phone numbers...
Plus don't forget all the fun of movement/shipping.
Many a time a pin has worked only to be torn down, moved and set up just to have some sort of hiccup with working correctly.
Well my board is all fixed up and installed.
Now the real fun begins as there is still a short somewhere in the playfield.
As the board repair had my tech bud putting in a bunch of sockets we just 'pulled' certain ones and started up to try to localize where the short may be happening. Looks...
I'll share the advice my sister in laws father (an old arcade slot tech) told me. "Just leave it running and poke around in there a bit. Just be sure to put your other hand in your pocket."
Shakelton auctions (near London) Sat January 17
3 early woodrail pinballs (one pic of each on site)
Bally Booster 1937
Phoenix 1949
Palm Beach 1952
I certainly don't collect woodrails but someone out there may be interested.
I'm pretty sure I have some playfield plastics lying about. I bought some on e-bay years ago to swap out any damaged ones in my old Wizard! It's long gone now so if you need any plastics let me know and I'll have a look. You can have them for free, you just may have to pay for the postage, etc.
Yeah, not liking all the 'free' hacks my board is getting. I think it's time to replace it rather that bypassing a section to wire them in on their own. Too many hacks could make flipping it out later more difficult.
So if you have a good DE Checkpoint cpu drop me a line or better yet a...
I received some transistors in the mail from ELELSU and was very happy that I can use paypal to make payment. Very, very convenient for those of us that don't have an electronics supply place in the immediate area. I would have been an hour drive each way for me. God only knows where else my...
I looked at it again last night. My tech can't make it by until next week.
I de-soldered the left slingshot and it's now now blowing the 4A fuse all the time. also noticed that the left slingshot has only had 2 wires on it the whole time I have had the machine. I am wondering where the other...
As suggested I have began a thread with just all the fun stuff that comes with fixing up my DE Checkpoint I picked up at auction.
Initially the left slingshot was not working correctly (scoring but not kicking)
Anyhow. With my new load of mail order transistors fro ELELSU in London I am back to...
I gotta say when I saw the title of this thread I was thinking of something else. Then when I saw the bear costume it started to get weird/kinky...
Then the whole 'leave the bear suit on'
You people make me sick.
Th at JM on kijijii for $750 needing a dmd could be an interesting project for a raffle depending of it it only needs a dmd....
JM rates pretty high on the playability list.
I am a full time union chairperson (currently as it is a term job).
So if you're having trouble with your WSIB claim I can at least give you an idea of what you may need to succeed and give you an honest opinion of your chances.
