There isn't too much they could axe to make a standard edition, seeing as the game has to be a replica of the original. What they did get rid of amounts to peanuts and wouldn't have been a significant decrease in price, however if they would have knocked of $400 bucks or so, it would have...
And now it's announced that there will be a standard edition, too, for those who don't get a LTD. SAME PRICE (which is balls) but with no gold trim, no shaker, and no ultra-clearcoat.
So much for waiting to buy a "cheaper" standard edition...
I like the Pinball MikeD mod...his "standard" Creech footage is a little corny for my tastes, but you could think of it as a bonus because you also get the "original" version with HD-shot footage of an unfaded hologram. Certainly feels better putting out that kind of scratch to get all of...
I think they referenced "last time" during the seminar. Anyone who had deposits down on the other failed MM production can roll their money over into this project. If I were a "NIB GUY", I'd get one for sure. I love pinball, but I don't love pinball $9500CAD worth. It has been said before...
As for "opening the wallet", I don't think $7995 MSRP is all that bad of a price...for those people who can spend that much on a NIB game. They won't last long. A Stern LE goes for about that much, no? And for that price you know exactly what you are getting...no mysterious disappearing VUK...
You can have the rest...we will have to fight it out for the CFTBL. Looking to buy one of those too.
Similarly, hope all the current MM owners don't throw out their backs dragging their original MMs out to the curb for Monday's trash collection. 8-)
Will be built to LOOK AND PLAY like the original. No "W" logo to be used. Roger Sharpe on board to make sure Williams end of the deal is upheld. Billed as a limited edition. No game at Expo as some kinks to be ironed out. Differences from original: Shaker motor, gold trim, LEDs.
$1000...
Those are some itty-bitty sampler beers...or one GIANT PEN.
And I love the celebrity trophy shot with Gomez...even if it is just a pinball celebrity! New thread: Celebrity Trophy Shots...go!
Option A sounds good, but I would have taken Option B. Kind of hard to say which is the "better" deal with so many moving parts in each (especially Option B, trying to value each machine against the money you'd have to add in).
Either way, any deal that gets that TF off of the books should be...
Re: Pat Lawlor making a comebackjQuery18209247286939395345_1
Great to see...but still, we need some new blood in the design arena in order to move this hobby forward. I'm sure Lawlor's got some new, unique ideas, but you can guarantee anything "new" from him will include the old Lawlor...
Re: FS: Party Zone (PZ) $1875 Downtown Toronto
Some games that you don't see come up all that often surfacing over the past few days...nice to see!
Free bump. Looks like a wild game.
Great to see you here, websherpa/Wayne! You beat me to the punch...I was going to share Rollergames as my sleeper pin! I will probably still post my love letter to Rollergames very soon, outing it as my sleeper pin, and thus continuing its recent rise out of the ashes of the "C List".
