My boss' wife is looking to buy him a Donkey Kong cocktail machine to add to his arcade/mancave for xmas. I told her I'd see what I could find.
An original would be fantastic, but something like a 60-in-1 might also do. It must be in very good condition. Let me know what you have, and I'll pass...
Yes. It's tough to do with a GoPro, unless you have a way of previewing the video live. (I have the LCD and WiFi backpacks, so it's easy for me) I like to make it go from just below the apron, to just above the DMD.
I edit my videos in Vegas. I can manage to get the file size down quite a bit, without losing too much quality.
My name is tim.sanderson, and I approve this rig! I especially love the fact that there's a healthy supply of beer underneath it all.
A very fun day, indeed! It was great to meet more PBR members.
I loved the format, too. It made for a lot of pinball, with very little waiting between rounds.
Thanks again to Adam and Denise for all the hard work!
Tim
All I can say is that I am very happy to be buying/fixing/playing my thousand dollar machines. To me all that a re-re (re-release) means is that I'll get to play more of a particular machine. However, I do feel for anyone who's recently purchased a MM above the $8000 MSRP for MMR.
They've added a GAME NOTES section, giving reasons why some games are good for tourneys, while others are not:

Re: OCTOBER LIST
Agreed. People like me choose pins based on price first, title second. It might make me generate a little more interest in buying another container game. :)
That looks like a nice one. Great price, too!
I actually paid net on mine, so my cost was quite a bit lower than the retail cost. :) I haven't even had a chance to use it... I've been too swamped at work. :( Maybe tonight though!
Brought home a shiny new soldering station from work. It's the same one I use there, too. It's a pretty nice setup. 60 watts, heats up in seconds and holds it's temp very well. They are a good price too... retails for $80.
That's my extra-nosey cat Marvin. Anytime something new is brought into...
Re: Pinball with a Vengeance
+1
Great thread, Adam. I'm looking forward to sopping up the gravy that is your knowledge, with the biscuit that is my brain.
There could be something to that. I'm 37, been playing pinball for a year and a half or so, and have been an owner for 7 months. I've said it before, and will say it again... I think all late SS/DMD games could do with a (partial at the very least) dose of LEDs. I like the intensity and colour...
Yet another minute improvement over my high score. I went into the last ball at 6 million with one extra ball. I pooped the bed and barely beat my previous score. :(
I'm still waiting for that magic game where I score the 4 mil jackpot AND the 'double your score' on ball three...
