From Kickstarter:
How often will the Museum be open?
Our agreement with the township only allows us to be open to the public four weekends a year. This could include a pinball showcase or tournament. Unfortunately they won't allow us to be open more than this. (We have the same problem as PAPA...
Looks like Clay is at it again trying to get a pinball facility on its feet. A museum approach this time. Looks like a pretty neat space, so hopefully everything works out. The project is almost funded already....only a few days in. For a $20 pledge you get a "private" visit to the museum...
I'm not familiar with the Xmen game at all, but I'm not in love with that armless Iceman mod. Maybe it looks better in person. Not that you did a bad job installing it, it just generally looks weird IMHO. Isn't there another mod that has his full body on a sheet of ice? It's more like an...
35,549,660 is my GC score on FH...happened two days after I got the tattoo. Yours was in the high 20s if I recall. I credit my score entirely to the tattoo.
Loud and clear.
I'll email Planetary Pinball and see if they want their cut of the $85.00CDN that I was going to donate. Business was not all that brisk. My materials cost me $58.00CDN and I was paid $143.00 to make seven shirts, thus the "profit" to be distributed as a donation is $85.00CDN...
Congrats on getting your games! I'm piecing together what I can from the pictures and it looked to be quite the haul of treasures that us Canadian boys got from across the ocean!
The dude seems to have more of a Professor Julius Sumner Miller vibe...which is apt, as he was a real life mad scientist, and hosted a segment on the Hilarious House of Frightenstien. Anyone else grow up watching this gem of a show?
These folks are not ironically enjoying pinball in their later years, they never stopped enjoying pinball. Kudos to that. I don't think that makes them kooks. Their haircuts on the other hand...
(Apologies to Tim Arnold)
Wondering if there are any suggestions as to where to shop for electronic doo-dads and widgets in a pinch in the Burlington-Oakville-Mississauga corridor. Some place that isn't Sayal. I will buy online when I get the chance from the usual suspects, but today I found I needed some Molex...
Raise just enough to buy a really nice Torpedo Alley...
All kidding aside, I like the "buy a game with however much money we have" idea. I gotta buy me some tickets now!
I will second Junkyard as underrated, however I have only logged a few arcade hours on it (at PHOF and Pin Parlour in PA) so I'll take Veng's word for it that it's a dud in a decent sized collection. It is the game that signed Barry Oursler's death warrant at Williams...his last game before...
Great advice on the thread from some guys with experience.
He who dies with the most machines is not necessarily the winner. He who has fun playing with what he has, can surly be considered the real winner.
Also, patience is a virtue.
All advice I must remember to follow my own damn self!
Got the apron card back from Mr. Ritchie a while back but forgot to post.
Up next, Dennis Nordman. I reached him via email and he said that he'd be more than happy to sign...and didn't want any money.
