    CAD at .70

Sure, it's great to save on shipping, but the actual cost of the parts themselves is super painful right now... and not likely to get better anytime soon. This is an old topic of debate... but suffice it to say that pinball was (and still is) a business. This was the case long before it became...

    CAD at .70

I anticipate this will be a big year for that. We will witness an exodus of Canadian pins this Spring. That being said, we'll have to rely on some pretty decent profits just to be able to pay for the trip itself :picard:

    Volley Parts Help

It's not so much a manual as it is a big folding schematic. They can be a bit tricky to read if you haven't ever used one. If this is your first EM then make sure you order yourself a few Flexstone files and a switch adjustment tool. It's just about all you should ever need to repair an EM...

    FOUND pinball

You said it brother.... it used to buy you maybe 5-6 Bally Williams pins :) Good luck with the sale. The machine looks real clean.

Lord of the Rings Gimli VUK issue

That's a problem area on this pin for sure. Stern engineering was (isn't) in the same league as bally williams. The use of a forked switch in that area was 20 year old technology even when LOTR was new. It's a part that gets replaced often. That being said, you may just need to adjust the angle...

http://www.pinballrescue.net/Plastics_Volley.html You're welcome :) I checked Shay and he doesn't yet make a repro backglass.... But you could try BGRESTO and see if they can help. It all depends how much you want to invest into the game. Enjoy!

    3D Printing

Makerbot is what we use at work. We have the Replicator and a smaller model (not sure which) in another department. Results are good but you have to really know how to tweak the models and settings. Anyone can buy a 3D printer but that's only half the battle. If you don't have experience in...

    FOUND Volley

I never realized that. It's nice feature in an EM... even cooler if you could increase bonus X during game play!

    FOUND Volley

Actually. I will add one more detail. While the physical layout of the game is virtually identical throughout all of them (minus the centre rollover that ED has) , the other key difference in game play is the ability to get extra balls (or add-a-ball). This is certainly true for Target Alpha and...

    FOUND Volley

Very different. El Dorado was the original and it's a single player EM. That means that the goal is progressive from ball to ball. The targets do not reset on every ball like they do for the others. EMs just weren't smart enough to be able to remember where each player was in a multi-player game...

    3D Printing

ABS is usually a more rigid and durable plastic that is used in the casting of many pinball parts. That's why I figured I should get some. I don't know of all the applications for PLA but it seems more stable on a home use printer without a heated bed. It's also pretty durable as far as I...

    3D Printing

Agreed. I bought some ABS spools when first ordering the Micro (not knowing it wasn't ideal) and I've had challenges with warping and keeping the piece on the print bed. Last night I even tried using double sided tape on the bed to help secure it... it still curled! If I had some white PLA I...

    FOUND Volley

I thought one just popped up a couple of days ago. Was it on Kijiji? Oh.. and Canada Dry does look cool, but game play is a poor substitute for El Dorado and, even some of the others in the series like Solar City have some pretty neat artwork
