Actually, it works the other way, it's like buying insurance, or wanting to win a lottery - if you can think or prepare for it to happen, it never will. ;)
Your wife's first name isn't "Imelda" is it? :D
Apparently, however, this shoe collection of over 3000 pairs was housed in a basement and subsequently destroyed by a flood..... just sayin'
Re: Man-Curio (collectable showcase for your ManCave)
I'm all for poking a dough boy now and again, but that a story for another day....
...what!? It's a free bump.
Which goes to show you how much the Stratford Festival publicity organizers "really" cared about the pinball hobbyists, like they professed to us in the beginning of this marketing adventure.
Perhaps having Super Bands should disqualify games from Tournament Play? After all, they apparently aren't the same game afterwards (easier) by many accounts. I haven't tried them yet. Or is it that since all players play the same game (with or without the Super Bands), it doesn't matter for...
My very first impression was "yawn" too. Something really unimpressive about the design, features and layout. Looks like an econo Gottlieb.
Do you get the idea that Stern's idea mill is driven by a bunch of 60 year old's who think their generation is the only ones buying pinball machines...
Shakiness is more a factor of the offset of the counter weight than speed (although a trulely off-balanced weight sped up is more violent - think washing machine).
Without risking life and limb, is the counterweight on the new shaker motors at all adjustable? I haven't seen one in real life yet.
What happens in the summer when you're cooling? Curious because Im planning my own reno and basement comfort has been much on my mind since its one of the harder spaces to equalize.
I think if look at the upscaling as being "different" and a complement to all of the other blue lighting, it looks great in upscaled mode (at least in the youtbe video). Perhaps if you compare it to standard DMD you mght not like it just because its different.
For Shadow, couldn't you rig an all green shadow by using a green XPin DMD : http://bayareaamusements.com/Merchant2/ ... -DMD4096-G
I don't think you could gel orange to make green, only brown, or maybe a very, very dim green.
Ask for a photo before buying parts from this supplier (Bulgaria I think). My experience was mostly good, but Stargate ball guide part I bought was not as described (it was repaired by a welder). I haven't asked for compensation, it was my own fault for not asking for a photo, but I thought I'd...
I think "might" is the operative word here. I have tried using both socket and driver bits in one of these (and still carry it around in my mechanics hip pouch) but rarely use it and find it still of limited use in tight spots, with open ended or combination wrenches usually doing a better job...
Everyone has their own approach and story, Adam has a very unique, enjoyable and valid story to tell, that's his forte.
My fear is actually less about high scoring exploits than it is about learning all about a game without actually playing it ( or worse yet after I have acquired it). If I...
I'm curious to know if there are any other player/collectors who, like me, are PURPOSELY NOT reading Adam's (apparently) terrific posts on how to master and exploit the vulnerabilities on specific pinball games to achieve higher scores!
No offence intended or implied, and Adam knows I...
