That game is fantastic, I dumped lots of quarters into it.
Most MAME controllers don't feel right for this game; it had 5 buttons. One for each leg, arm and head. It's kinda like mortal kombat, in that a 6 button layout seems odd. It would be easy to build a dedicated MAME cabinet/controller...
I've had the Hakko 888 for a year or two. It's great, I'm confident doing board work now that I have experience with a good iron. Just keep the tip nice and tinned and clean and you'll find it does the job well
It sounds like the monitor is turning on, you can hear it humming and it will flicker when turning the cabinet off. The speakers react when turning the cabinet on and off, although no game sounds come through.
Occasionally when the power supply does come on the MPU status 1 led will come on...
It's a green board. I have not tested the voltage, but the red light on the power supply occasionally doesn't turn on until you smack it. Then the fan starts and the light comes on.
I just got a broken machine this weekend. The game looks decent but it's not booting up. I think the problem is the power supply.
Will a regular pc power supply work? Or do I need to order a unique one from suzo-happ?

Slugfest is a great 2 player game, especially if you have friends that don't play pinball. It's probably one of the easiest games to play, and to learn to play pinball.

This is the best news in pinball right now. People are getting new games with finished code that are fun to play.
With all of these mmr games hitting the market it gives hope to guys like me that would not be able to afford a 10k game. Here's to waiting for the resale market.
