I went to Sayal in Cambridge today in hopes of finding pieces to rebuild the power supply board. Originally I was just going to get the J1 header pins and connector but decided to rebuild the board while I'm at it. I figured they would also have a capacitor for the battery replacement.
I asked...
HEY YOU GUYS!!!
I love the Goonies, one of the all time best kids adventure movies. The hunt for the treasure of one eye willy. One of Spielburg's better stories.
I've been reading this online repair guide to help with the fix.

Do you guys prefer a capacitor or remote battery holder for memory? I think both look like good option and have parts for a remote holder, but if a cap is a better option...

Ya I'm slowly putting together a list of parts that I need and a new GI header is on there. I'll post my list later tonight, but I think I have it all figured out.
Thanks, spiroagnew. It's been a year (already) since I sold off all my other games and I'm happy with this project to keep me busy.
I started working over the machine, checking out the problems and fixing things as I go.
The first thing I did was repair the drop target. *this was just a...
I recently traded a Mame arcade for this game. The guy that I got it from said it was sitting in a warehouse for 10 years before he convinced the previous owner to sell it. He had it is basment for the last 12 years and it didn't look like he played it often. At least it didn't look like he...
I'm looking for a little advice on how to fix this minor problem and prevent it from getting any worse. From what I've read it seems that the best method is to use Krylon Triple Thick.
Cover the display areas with painters tape, spray a thick coating of Triple Thick onto the backside of the...
The legs arrived today. They look great, and will be perfect for my virtual machine. Thanks again. I'm impressed, shipping was super quick.
+1 for a great seller.
Yay, I'm playing REAL pinball again, not just virtual simulations.
I managed to pick up the perfect pin for me. A 1979 Bally Mystic. Looks pretty good, needs some work, but it's just up my alley. I worked out a phenomenal trade for one of my arcade projects, the seller is happy with a 100%...
Re: NEW: X-Arcade Tankstick Trackball - $169.99
Ya, that's a pretty great price. I don't know about quality, I've never used a tank stick before. compared to a DIY build this is very inexpensive. Unless you want a custom look this is a great idea.
Approx price
2 joysticks @ $15 ea...
Reading the pinside post; the thieves also took and antique bed (brass I think) and some steel gates. Their afraid it might have been taken for scrap copper and the thieves have no idea it's value.
Hopefully this game is found, as you said it's probably the easiest pinball machine to trace.
Here's the last bunch of games. About 400 games, (some look pretty bad) and 95 other lots consisting of random playfields, groups of 4 back glasses, game heads or piles of legs. You might find a random gem in the mix but nothing caught my eye. Mostly games from the 40's 50's and 60's...
