Now that Checkpoint and High Speed are gone its time to look for my next title.
I was hoping to find a Stern (easy to get parts) in the 4-5 K range.
Not a huge fan of toys or crowded pfs.
Top contenders:
NBA
Elvis
Hard to know what is in my range with prices now....

Not all Sterns are easy to get parts for... and when you can the prices can be a bit rediculous compared to their B/W equiv.

Classic Stern seem pretty easy to get parts for. Not sure why, but it seems these and most classic Bally are very well supported in the repro parts market; right down to the boards and displays. It's probably their simplicity.

If you're looking for something more modern, I think almost any 90s era games are relatively easy to get parts for with maybe some DE or Premiere games being the occasional exception.

I agree with Doug. Stern parts pricing seems pretty out of whack. Go check out the cost of a flipper rebuild kit.

I see an NBA for 3300 usd on Pinside. That seems to be in the range.
Elvis I think is damn mear my limit if not over.
I am certainly not in a hurry to call ToPEC or Starburst to pull one off route and pay retail.
I don't mind lurking about waiting for a good deal.
Seemed to work last summer when I scored Nascar.
Just hate being down to one pin. Feel like a hobbiest and not a collector.

Don't worry...your street cred is still in tact here....even though you only have one machine... [emoji12]

Patience is the name of the game. Don't jump the gun (or pay retail).
