Banzai Run Upper Lifter Switch

On my BR, I get an error at startup that the upper lifter switch 63 should be checked. Indeed, on occasion the lifter will cycle up and down several times during gameplay without stopping or dropping the ball into the upper playfield.

However, in test mode the switch registers every time you activate it.

Any thoughts?

Are you using your finger to activate the switch? If so, that's the issue. You need to use the ball on the lifter, the switch likely needs adjustment or replacement.

It's just a leaf switch - how could it make a difference whether I use my finger or the lifter itself?

A switch is likely easy to come by, I'll just replace it.

If you use your finger, you are more than likely putting more pressure / travel on that switch than the lifter is in normal operation. If you ever have any switch in any game testing ok manually in switch test but not working in the game, always always always use a ball or the associated mech to test the switch during switch test to emulate the condition during game play.
