Hi everyone. I’m looking to buy a Beatles Gold that allows to swap SD cards to play the three other custom albums (White, St.pep, and Revolver).

I can buy or could trade a nice TWD Pro or Iron Maiden Pro.

Please contact me if you’d consider selling/trading the above requested machine.

Thanks!

Haven’t you had this title twice already?

I love that you know my collection so well! That’s pretty hard core! Haha

Yes, I’ve owned it twice. One time with old code that came with the albums. It was awesome. The second time came with newer code and there was a risk of node board issues if used (happened to a friend of a friend) so I did not use the albums as the chance of killing my machine was too high.

I have done many custom codes for Pinsiders, including a bunch of Beatles custom codes. If you have the SD cards still from an old game you sold, they should work in any new game you purchase. If they were sold with a previous game, you would have to ask the creator of the original codes for a copy. They have to be for the same version of the pin, for example the Pro code will not work on a Premium, etc.

If you have the original code files saved on your computer, you could burn them onto new SD cards.

If the SD card is made with Pinball Browser I can add that I have had no issues with changes I have made using it. I made music changes to MET and Aerosmith, plus multiple updates to JP using the movie code by enthusiasts on Pinside.

I believe the problem is the custom code is based on a fairly old version. At some point, they may have updated the node board firmware to the point where you can't re-install older firmware.

Yes. Last update of custom code is 1.10

You guys are all saying it should be fine …. would you risk blowing node boards? Too much money for me for things to go wrong like that. I wouldn’t not want to replace node boards myself.

My understanding, you have to keep your game on old code, if that is what you are using with the custom music. If PB will work on the new code, then you could update it with the new songs. I think the problems start when you try to install an old code after installing a newer code.

Stranger Things was similar back when the first modded code came out. I could put the old code back in and it would just update the node boards every time. No the current code and modified code are on the same version. It’s well maintained.

If/when you get the machine, turn off auto updates. I wouldn’t worry about the node boards.

V2 is my favorite too.

Game is based off first 2 seasons so V2 doesn’t have too much of the new stuff.

His instructions are incredibly detailed. Seems overwhelming at first but as long as you follow along it’s pretty simple. Once to take the back glass off you will see the blue card in the back box.

If you don’t like it, put the original card back in. It really improves the game. Call outs are incredible.

As I understand it you can use any code on SD that matches your game
AS long as the nodes do not down grade below the firmware that the game Nodes shipped with. That could brick them.

If you have 2nd run or 3rd run whatever this is where you need to pay attention. This is why you should always keep the stock SD in the coin box so you know what ver you cannot go below.

I’ve gone to latest ver of code on GotG and the Nodes update. Then put back Cleland code and Nodes update. Game plays fine. Unless they changed this recently.
