best desoldering station for the buck ????

Hi all ,im looking for a good and not too pricy desoldering station.

i recall something about a believe was a Hakko Desoldering Gun, for about 200 bucks plus shipping.

is this unit good or is there anything better??

I once had a Weller DS600 ,and man that was a pos!!!

The Hakko 808 is freakin awesome. I got mine from Amazon.com for about $180 and had it shipped to a US address.

The company is going to be at Allentown .. so some might try to arrange a pickup at the show (I don't know for certain that the option exists but it might save you $40 and a hassle with customs)

38 bucks to my place,
``IF`` I dont get burned at customs the total is 200 bucks US delivered ($205 Can)

compared to the cheapest desoldering station i found of $406( plus TX ) that a pretty good deal!!
