This Week In Pinball did a pole on Pinside asking people to vote for the best Pinball Machine under $2000 US. Thought I would include the top ten here to see what you guys thought of the list. Or if you had any other machines you would add instead. That's around $2500 CDN.

10. F-14 Tomcat
9. Joker Poker
8. Lethal Weapon 3
7. Maverick
6. Last Action Hero
5. Pinbot
4. Eight Ball Deluxe
3. Space Shuttle
2. Flash Gordon
1. Taxi

I've seen a couple of local Taxi in the last year and they were in the $2-$3K CAD range. When you convert to USD, you're right in the ballpark.

I just recently picked one up. Never owned the game before and had very little time on it. I'd have to agree with the list for the most part. It's a lot of fun for the money.

The only game I would question there is EBD. I much prefer the original Bally Eight Ball and it's usually a bit less money as well.
Classic Stern are also not very well represented. I know they've gone up a lot in value, but a machine like Big Game is a ton of fun and still good value.

2, 3, 5, 9 and 10 are all brilliant Solid State pins and I own all 5 still. Actually, I think I sold my F-14 (my 3rd one) but would get it again.
Looking forward to trying Drano's Taxi #1 on the list. Agree with Drano on EBD #4 and sold mine preferring the original Eight Ball more.

6,7,8 are all fun DMD's to play but I have not had the opportunity to own those 3 to really know them.

I really like Space Shuttle. If and when I get my first machine, I want it to be that one. Love playing it at Bluff's. Wasn't working the last time though :(

Space Shuttle was the only pinball machine in my home town for 4 years while I was in high school.
It is the grail of all grails for me. She is happy and playing again at Bluffs. Thanks Sparky, Menace, T1 and Kevin.

WPT is a better DMD pin than any of the DMD's on that list. The rule set is deep. If I didn't own one already, I would pick one up.
I would 100% agree with WTP. I have had it twice and its a great game but it seems to have creeped up over $4k.

And the best pin around $2k IMO was the IJ I bought for $2300 Canadian but that was a few years back!!!
