Folks,

I've got a line on an unused CPR playfield for my Firepower machine but the seller is in New York City. I'm trying to figure out a way to pay for it and get it back up here without getting screwed out of my money and without paying an arm and leg in shipping and duty/brokerage/taxes, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is anyone going to be driving to NYC in the next little while that might want to bring this back for me?

The worst part is that the seller had it in his car at Allentown and I knew someone that was there. Unfortunately I was too late connecting with him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dino Z.

Hey Dino, I suggest having it shipped to a facility directly at the US side of the border (there are several, this will cost about $15) and picking it up yourself. The most you'll pay is taxes. No Duty as it was made in Canada.

cbi is my go to when I need to get something stateside, but in this case, why not just ship it home?

I had a pf shipped from Jersey out to west Canada and it cost about $100 more. Worth it if you want to save the time of driving to the border.

Also, youd have to go during whatever company you choose business hours.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. Still waiting to hear back from the seller. With the exchange rate the way it is, by the time I get it here, this PF could run me almost $1000. I'm not 100% sure that it makes sense to go this route. My PF is okay at best and I might use it as a learning tool on how to restore a machine. Appreciate all of your advice!
