Bringing a game to the US

Just wondering what happens at the border when you try to bring a game across for a trade / sale? From Canada to the US. I know you get taxed when you come back (unless the guy feels incredibly generous) but what about when you cross to the US with a game ?

You are essentially a courier at this point, and depending on who you deal with on the US side it can be a pain. I know Rob posted a thread on the issue in the past, just can't recall if he posted it on pinside or ??? Try searching for it?
