Can anyone fix my MAME?

Nephew's kids were here the other day and were mashing buttons. Ended up freezing the screen.

Now it won't boot up. Screen just stays black.

Looks like a standard PC-when you boot, any BIOS beeps or anything? You have a VGA cable connected, what's that plugged into? I'd try connecting a single display and a regular keyboard and seeing what happens-best case is you can get into windows, but ideally even getting into the BIOS. There also appears to be a USB drive connected there-what's that for? Is that your boot device, or is it booting from the HDD? I'd disconnect that if you don't need it. Basically, boot with as little connected as possible, then start adding things back in.

I wouldn't be surprised if that USB drive is just a USB Wifi adapter for future updates or remote access. The existing drive is a WD green drive so probably big enough to install and boot windows off it and have mame files on there too.

I believe that USB was so the guy that made it years ago could connect remotely for future fixes or problems I had.

It is not booting at all. Even if you try safe mode nothing happens at all.

The USB thing is a dlink WIFI adapter ... I usually unplug mine otherwise windows downloads updates.... I would power off the power bar for 30 seconds .... usually you get a POST beep on the motherboard, when you apply power do you hear anything? are the fans spinning? that will help troubleshoot what component is dead.

OP mentioned trying safe mode so it certainly seems like the computer is booting but windows is not loading.

Yeah, if you're able to get as far as a boot menu, then that implies that the CPU and memory are OK, and if you can see the screen then you're sending out video too. I'd still try without the wifi adapter connected-which version of Windows do you have on there? You might try creating boot media for it and doing an OS repair from that. I've also had success on 10 doing an in-place upgrade over top of the existing version when I've had boot issues, and I've managed to get back into working shape.
