FOUND Coil AE-23-1200

Looking for a coil ae-23-1200. Trying to find one local or in canada don't mind shipping.

Its for the lost mine kickout mod. Think its supposed to be ae-26-1200. I have a local friend that probably has one.

Hey Mitch,
I've played more than a few WH2O and spent a lot of time restoring one from the ground up.
I'm not sure that a coil change is the fix here.

Can you explain what exactly is happening on your example?
There is usually enough play in how the coil bracket/scoop are mounted that you could simply loosen the screws and twist the bracket or scoop so it points at the flipper... then tighten the screws back down again.

I agree with Drano. My coil doesn't fire in the exact same manner every time, but it's at least pretty consistent. Have you replaced the coil sleeve? Check the ball popper cup too. Mine was missing a couple of the shark fins which causes the ball to go wild every so often when it shot onto the playfield.

Mine shoots out really hard and hits the right lane guide in the exact same spot every time. No variance at all. I know people who have used the 1200 coil with great success. I also heard from a member about putting a stronger spring in so I'm gonna try the coil first then the spring

Mine will fire out and hit the right flipper and then bounce over to the left 90% of the time. That last 10% of the time it'll fire out faster, hit the right flipper and bounce over to the left sling. That 10% is tough to recover from, but I like the randomness of it.

Usually if there is variance it would be related to uneven wear on the kicker/vuk 'cup', a loose or misaligned bracket or a cracked well in the curved scoop.

Having a weaker coil would certainly make the game more predictable and easier but I've gotten pretty good as pulsing the flipper really fast just as the ball ejects. Almost like I'm performing a drop catch. The fast flip deadens the ball and it just rolls about an inch or so up the in-lane and is quickly back in control. It works almost every time now.

Mine was originally missing 3 of the 4 fins on the cup. It's been replaced, but I still have variance in how it fires. Having 3 fins missing probably caused the plunger to wear unevenly hence the odd eject every once and a while.
