ColorDMD Displays is excited to announce support for Cactus Canyon pinball machines! This is the 47th multicolor release for the ColorDMD display platform, and 16th new title release in 2016! Dave Ballance and Mike Hartmann, the cowboys who brought color to South Park return with their own brand of justice for B/W's last great DMD title, Cactus Canyon!
Art imitates life as Dave, who works as a Sargeant in a Canadian Police Department, emblazons the hero's colorful rise from Stranger to town Marshall. Dave has been collecting and restoring pinball machines since 2006, and has been the driving force for completing CC, a game that provided a surprising number of technical challenges.
His "partner in crime", Mike Hartmann is a software developer and owner of a Canadian software company. Mike currently owns 26 pinball machines and 3 video arcades and is hoping to add more! Mike is both creative and technically very sharp. In addition to his work on SP and CC, Mike helped to accelerate ColorDMD's incorporation and manipulation of live action images, now featured in many ColorDMD titles.
The ColorDMD for Cactus Canyon pinball machines leverages the company's easy-to-install SIGMA LCD platform and supports six different rendering styles. Multicolor operation is enabled through free download and installation of a game-specific ROM using a USB drive. The display may be reconfigured for use with any supported title.
Displays are in stock now for immediate shipping, The color ROM for Cactus Canyon is targeted for release on Friday, September 23.
