ColorDMD Announces Game 78!
ColorDMD is excited to announce Last Action Hero as the 78th title to be supported by the ColorDMD multicolor pinball display platform, and ninth new title release for 2018!
The colorization for Last Action Hero is the product of ColorDMD newcomer Craig Aker. Coloring any pinball title requires a generous mix of artistic and technical skills, but successful completion of a project also often requires a special passion for the title. You're unlikely to find anyone more passionate about this title than Craig, and game owners may recognize him as the author of the unofficial 1.13 firmware update for LAH that helps balance scoring, enhance gameplay, and adds new callouts!
Craig is an electrical engineer and has always had an interest in electronics and gaming. His other hobbies have included writing Vectrex games, building arcade multi-games, and contributing to MAME. He is also the developer of the EnerGI Maestro GI lighting control board for Data East games.
Last Action Hero was Craig's first pinball machine purchase in 2001. By 2010 pinball had taken over his game room! Craig is currently an active member of the Oklahoma Pinball Enthusiasts and a regular tournament player. You can often find him on Pinside or coining up a game at Cactus Jacks!
The ColorDMD LED display for Last Action Hero pinball machines shares the same easy-to-install hardware platform as previous ColorDMD releases.
