Game 59? No Problemo...
ColorDMD Displays is excited to announce support for Terminator 2 pinball machines! T2 is the 59th supported multicolor release for the ColorDMD pinball display platform and 9th title release in 2017!
ColorDMD developer, Dave Tkacs, returns for this long awaited Terminator 2 release! Dave previously completed Popeye as a tribute to Python and his friend Phoebe, as well as "the glory of being the guy who colored Popeye!"
Upon completion, Dave was eager to take on a more popular title. Work for T2 began back in June 2015. At that time, the dots for T2, one of Williams earliest DMD games, at first appeared deceptively simple. However a number of technical challenges, specific to these early games, prevented Dave from achieving the results he wanted and the project languished for some time. We admit it... tiny problemo.
By incorporating a number of engine improvements made over the past two years, as well as some new features specifically added for T2, we are now able to complete this title, enhance Dave's original work, and share it with the pinball community!
The ColorDMD for T2 pinball machines leverages the company's easy-to-install ColorDMD LCD and LED platforms. Displays ship with the factory installed SIGMA ROM. Multicolor operation is enabled through free download and installation of a game-specific color ROM using a USB drive. The display may be reconfigured for use with any supported title.
Displays are available for immediate shipping. The color ROMs for Congo pinball machines are targeted for release before Friday, June 16! Hasta la vista, baby.
