ColorDMD Gets Lost!
ColorDMD is excited to announce that The Lost World Jurassic Park is the 70th game to be supported by the ColorDMD multicolor pinball displayplatform and first new release for 2018!
The Lost World was colored by Darren Armstrong, the newest member of the ColorDMD development team! Darren is a software engineer from Surrey, BritishColumbia who designs video games for a living! When he's not hard at work or busy tinkering with his expanding pinball collection, you'll find him on the slopes practicing his other hobby, snowboarding!
By applying his expert artistic and problem-solving skills to this project, Darren got back to his arcade roots and made quick work of The Lost World. The results look fantastic, and Darren reports he may now be interested in colorizing a 'more challenging' game. However, he'll also need to tackle a bigger problem... finding space to store another pin!
The Lost World pinball machines host a curved showcase backbox, andbenefit from the small form factor of the ColorDMD LED display. The LED display uses a matrix of 128x32 discrete RGB LEDs and occupy a similar space as original plasma DMDs, and fits nicely inside the showcase cabinet.
The ColorDMD for The Lost World pinball machines shares the same easy-to-install hardware platform as previous ColorDMD releases. All displays ship with the factoryinstalled SIGMA ROM that supports WPC, WPC95, SAM, Whitestar, and SPIKE platforms. Multicolor operation is enabled through download and installation of a game-specific color ROM file, available from our site. ROMs can be changed at any time, allowing usewith any of our supported titles.
New LED displays are rolling through production now and will be available for shipping later this week. The color ROM for The Lost World pinball machines is targeted for release by Wednesday,January 24! A video preview will be made available prior to release.
