So as some of you know I went and picked up my first pin on the first weekend in May. After having countless guests over and putting about 25-30 hours of game play on it in the last 3 weeks, I've had no issues.
I did notice that the inlanes in particular, as well as the outer loop were starting to get pretty dirty. Figured it was about time to pull a couple of pieces off and clean it up a bit, as well as change all the rubber.
I got started yesterday evening, and one thing led to another. Next thing you know I had most of the things taken off the playfield, and had a minor stress out when I realized there was a good chance I wouldn't be able to figure out where all the pieces went, and put it all back together. (Of course I went against EVERYTHING I've read, and didn't take any pictures while I was taking it apart.... :FP: )
After a discussion with the mrs to calm me down, and a look at all the dirt, I came to the conclusion that it was far overdue. I also decided if I couldn't get it back together I have no business in this hobby.
Well it isn't completely back together yet, but it's about 100 times cleaner. I'm hoping to get the ramps and big stuff cleaned up and put back together tomorrow.
The hard to get to sections at the top of the playfield were absolutely filthy. Some of the rubber rings had actually worn away nearly to dust which was all over everything. Most of the rubber has been changed now, and the rest will be changed tomorrow.
Enjoy the pictures! And before anyone points it out, the colour of the room is "Aggressive Salmon"...
