In 2018 this Dragon's Lair needed saving and some love after been wrapped in plastic in a barn for 15 years.
Laser Disc player was not repairable.
Currently powered by an INtel Nuc pc and running the Daphne emulator on windows. Usb Encoder is used to send control panel functionality to the Nuc.
The intent was to put a Merlin/Dexter setup but was satisfied on how its running now.
The original power supply has not been altered.
The CPU board has been partially recapped but was not tested or used.
Cabinet stripped of all all old vinyl
Primed inside and out, Satin oil based paint
Black "Morocco" style vinyl with adhesive backing from Quartercade.com.
All vinyl was glued & taped down tightly on edges for 1 week to get the tight finish around the molding
New side art
New beautiful Control Panel with Overlay art
rebuilt Wico 4 way joystick
refurbished monitor
Amplifier installed and power brick for INtel Nuc
Painted coinbox
Powder coated rebuilt Cinematronics coin door and all metal parts
New t Molding
New leg levelers
Probably some more stuff done on this game that i cant remember at the moment.
Digital Score board lights up but is not able to run off of the Daphne emulator.
There is a piece of vinyl missing under each corner of the control panel as there was not enough clearance for the control panel to open up once all art and painting was completed.
Can send a link with more pics for those interested.
