Don't worry Luch. No one has gone crazy.

I will explain the first 2 posts. After that, you have to guess.

Life is a game. The person with the most toys at the end wins. (This old saying was interesting when I was young.) It repulses me now.
It is a subtle reference and reminder to myself that it is time to sell some games, in this case pinball machines. Time to make some space.

Good Night Moon. This is a very popular children's book. Many of us read this to our kids for years. It is a subtle "swansong" goodbye to a friend in Quebec whose stories will soon be ending and not told online anymore. It makes more than a few of us sad, but just as all my tales ran their course and ended, so too must the last of the big story tellers move on.

Most posts on this thread from this point forward should be light and fun, not too serious.

Oh, and the title "Every Thread" is a not so subtle reference to the literary work Everyman by Peter van Diest and more directly refers to the term "everyman" which in literature and drama has come to allude to "ordinary individual". The audience or reader is supposed to be able to identify easily with Everyman. Everyman however, is usually placed in extraordinary circumstances.

I'm delving into the effect of placing oneself in these situations + watching the outcomes. The trick in my case is not to let myself get too tired in the process.

I'm giving myself permission here in this thread to comment on whatever I feel like, in pinball mostly or otherwise if it strikes my fancy, without interrupting anyone else's threads in the process.

Let's call this a "writing" experiment and see where it takes us.

So FS Thread - by Bally Boy - Flash Gordon

I love this game. I think it is a truly difficult game to play. If I didn't own one already, I would have been all over this one. This is the 3rd Flash Gordon to change hands publicly in a relatively short period of time. I think the price was fair given condition. I am sure the new owner will be happy. Very challenging pinball machine. Congrats on the sale to Dan and congrats on the purchase to the new owner.

Might just have to open that cabinet again soon to take what's coming to us in the next 3-4 years or so as taxpayers in ON and Canada.

Kevin O'Leary's recent quotes and questions are worth a read. He quoted "I'm agnostic to party, I'm a Canadian taxpayer, I'm of the taxpayer party...I was advertised a $10 billion deficit only 6 months ago and I'm looking at trial balloons at between 45 and 90 billion. That is irresponsible and that tells me the government doesn't know what it's doing". (Thanks Todd for posting that. Good reading reminder.)

Right now, business owners are trying to assess what we are going to do given the economic conditions that are becoming evident.

Dang, I was trying not to be too serious on a Monday afternoon and I'm there now...

Thanks Scott. Indeed I am very happy, the machine is already in my game room and kicking my ass. I was close to buying the one in Ottawa and the one in Milton, but passed on those. Glad I held out, because this one is the nicest of the bunch.

Dan is a great guy to deal with.

Everyone knows I dislike Lawlor pins.
It doesn't mean I can't play them well.
I liked JPOP a lot until he just sucked.
Hard to come back from screwing us.
