Flipper behaviour

Anyone know what would be causing this behaviour with the left flipper? Right flipper works fine.
Only when a ball hits the left flipper, this happens:

If you flip the left, without hitting a ball, it generally resets itself to the proper position.

I would think something is loose.
Check the set screws where the flipper shaft meets the mech.

Clean up the coil area 1st.
Check for a loose or bad solder joint 2nd.

This was the problem. New flipper bat, back in business.
